Rodney is a really nice guy, i would just ask him. In most cases of dogs are allowed, they just have to be well behaved.
This place is really a gem. So glad we stumbled upon it! Prices were pretty low, food was awesome! The bbq was delicious, the gumbo was amazing! My daughter got the catfish and cleaned her plate. The atmosphere is a little off-beat.. but not bad... It feels a lot like having a picnic in a friends back yard. We had some bees harass us for our sodas, but it was a really great meal. My family of 5 ate large meals all for under $40
Great burgers, great wings, and the prices can't be beat. Certainly not fancy, but tasty! And Rodney is definitely worth meeting! Stopped for a bite and spent 2 1/2 hours!
Not clean inside. Food was below average. The Gumbo had an odd after-taste. So did the fried catfish. Will not eat there again.
A shrimp creole to rival anything you’ll get east of the Pecos. Rodney is the real deal and puts that undefinable quality into his food that you don’t see at many restaurants, but you definitely saw in your grandparents’ cooking.
Great place. Rodney is a real experience to meet.Food once again was great.
I got a Philli cheese steak, and it was atrocious -- kraft cheese, served on a styraphome plate, on a picknick table in someone's living room. Told to grab my soda from the cooler, which was an ice chest cooler filled with Big K brand drinks. After all was said and done the owner charged me and my brother $27 for some bad picknick food. Never going back.
It's the best food and good prices
You have to stop at Rodney's when in or near Wilcox, AZ. On our road trip back from Tucson we Googled and found this place as a suggestion. Great choice. Cheap delicious home cooked food. We paid 26 dollars for 5 people with drinks included. My BBQ with beans was delicious. Chili dod was also good. Make sure to stop here. Rodney's was a perfect spot for us.
rodney has been serving food in this town for over 20 years. if you ever have the chance to try it his food tastes good and you are bound to have a great conversation with rodney.
It's cheap. Food is ok, not the best. Nice guy tho.
Finally found some real cajun eatin'
Good food, good prices, nice owner.
We had shrimp creole and it was excellent. Last year I had a Po Boy, which was also great. You might miss this little hole in the wall walking down Railroad ave, but don't.
I didn't realize from reading the reviews that this is outside dining ONLY. There is no Inside. Sueezed between two buildings. Was pleasant enough. Shady with trees and a partial cover. Had cheeseburger and fries which were good and inexpensive. However there was bird excrement covering one of the tables. I don't mean just a few spots! Covering! We sat st a picnic table which looked dirty so I used a paper towel as a placemat. I ate the food with qualms. Rodney himself was quite pleasant too. Been there 23 years he said. Not sure how he can get away with being that dirty. Eat at your own risk.
Amazing food and the owner is a great guy! Definitely our go to every time we swing through Wilcox!
A humble place, but Rodney serves down home food at a good price. I had a chill Verde burrito and loved it.
Real home cooking, flavors of the old time recipies, plus a pleasant visit with Rodney
Bird Lovers come to Willcox for "Wings Over Willcox".We go to Rodney's for Hot🔥Wings, on our plate! 😋👍😉😃It's nice that we can call for Pick-Up, or, on a nice day, dine on his patio.Rodney's is more Delicious, Less expensive, and More friendly than Any other place, in Willcox. My family and I Love the catfish!
Great food, better prices. Love Rodney's down home hospitality and awesome conversation.
Order at the door. Delicious food. You'll love the prices. Eat outside or order to go.
Rodney's has the best food in town!
Great little and I mean little place. Meals are cooked when you order and are great tasting. Skip the fast food places and eat here. You won’t regret it !!
Don't let the looks of Rodney's fool you. Truly home made food with large servings. Great taste and warm friendly people. It's outside dining only but with the beautiful courtyard, I wouldn't want to eat inside anyhow. Will definitely be back.
Place is great. Small little restaurant. Rodney is one of the most friendliest guys you'll ever meet. Food is cheap. I enjoyed the Hot wings. One of the hottest hot wings you'll have in a while. Other great food items too.
Wonderful food! We loved the ribs and shrimp creole. Rodney is a friendly and talented chef. Will be back for sure.
Best wings out there, hole in the wall vibe and as we all know that's always the better food.
The service was good and our cheeseburgers was delicious. Tasted good without condiments. Thank you Rodneys. ;)
Rodney's is great, enjoyed our time visiting with Rodney. Food is wonderful. Catfish dinner best in Southwest. Simple menu great sidewalk dining or back patio. Rodney is a great conversationalist and well read.
The food was good but it was clear that it was the end of the day. Our beans were burnt with little burnt bits from the bottom of the pot and our rice was half crunchy and half mushy. The green beans tasted as if they were canned but had some decent seasoning on them. The thing that saved it from a 2 Star was the fish with the creole sauce. It had good flavor and the fish was cooked well.
Really good food! Rodney makes all of the food! Delicious!!
The gumbo was the best. Not spicy like some places. Very fresh! We also tried the shrimp Creole. Very good but gumbo was better. Yum!!
Small portions and disappointed with quality and taste of food.
Undercooked wings!! Horrible sevice .....
What a gem! Make this a destination! Great local food, super friendly owner! Lots of history and stories here. Don't miss this place!
Campy dining outside only adequate food
Very inexspensive awesome comfort food!..great home town feel..thanks Rodneys!
*Rodney's has much Tastier and Fresh burgers, than any place, in Willcox, Az.! *(Including: Fish, Shrimp, Steak, Vegetables, & Much more!) ☺️👍😉*Be guaranteed, that, Rodney is Always a gentleman. (Burger King costs more, and has less wholesome food. And, no ambiance.)
Great place. A true hole in the wall. The owner made us the gumbo in front of our eyes. Ate it on the patio. It was excellent. Made a memory.
Great food in a home style dinner. Rodney is a great guy.
Cute little place! You order up front from a frienly guy and then go eat in a patio out back. I was very satisfied with the price. Had some issues with flies in the back but hey- it's that time of the year. Nice place Rodney.
A great little place that reminds me of being back home on the bayou. Food was great and came out fast. It is outdoor seating with plenty of shaded areas to relax and enjoy some delicious fixin's!
Excellent, says it all.
Best described as a kind of hole-in-the-wall outfit with very good food
If you have ever used the term "hole-in-the-wall" to describe a restaurant, bar, or store, you'll understand what it truly means once you eat at Rodney's. We met Rodney the day we stopped in to have some of his famous catfish and Cajun food and he was kind enough to give us a tour of the whole 250 square feet. We sat in the back courtyard and enjoyed our meal under the shade trees that beautifully provide a cool place in a hot town.Rodney has carved out a niche for himself in another way by offering tasty food comes from his home state in Lousiana. Where else can you get Gumbo like mother used to make?
Besides the fact that Rodney is super friendly and the place has great local color with lots of local visitors the food was fabulous. Eating on the sidewalk was never so good. Highly recommended if you're ever near Willcox Arizona.
The best places to discover out of the world food is at the little hole in the wall places that look like nothing. Rodney is one if Willcox's best kept gems.
🍽️🍗🥪🌭🍔🥩🍲🌮🍤🐟🥤A Great dining experience! *Just remember, Cash Only! No credit cards accepted.Inexpensive, Delicious food, in nice portions.Outside dining and take out.Better and less expensive than fast-food, in the Historical district. 😉👍😀
Was walkin downtown and found this spot. Got me some catfish, beans, green beans, and rice. It was amazing. Best 9 bucks I spent.
Food is terrible and not sure his place will pass health inspection on its best days. But, the owner, Rodney, is the best character in town. I only come here to see and talk to him.
Rodney, the owner, was a really nice guy...and it was one of the only independent restaurants in Willcox that was open. Its definitely a no frills place and even tho it says "patio and beer garden", apparently there hasn't been beer for about 5 years. The menu is limited and all come with the same side dishes. My husband had the ribs...they weren't on the bone but the meat was really tender. I had the Shrimp Creole which left a lot to be desired. There was a nice communal feel with the two other couples eating there...all at the same table. Overall, there was good and not so good. Would go back if, again, it was the only place open besides fast food or pizza hut.
